The oldest of five children, Susan moved to Fresno in 1955 when her father, Jack Carter, accepted a position as the first principal of Wawona Junior High School. Interests include fiction writing, drawing and painting, music appreciation, reading, fly-fishing, walking, and travel. In January 2005 toured Antarctica and Argentina. October 2007 traveled to Turkey and Hong Kong.

Dumont Printing was established in 1950 and is a full-service commercial printing company striving for the highest of ethical standards in business and professional dealings. Larry Early became an owner with two other partners in 1968; Susan Early joined the company in 1977. In 1986 Larry and Susan became sole owners and jointly operated the business until Larry’s death from prostate cancer in 2004. Susan Early and Susan Moore have been operating the business since then. While maintaining an employee base of 40, Dumont Printing has grown in total sales from $1,500,000 in 1986 to over $7,000,000 in 2006, developing a reputation for producing the highest quality printing in the area.
Dumont Printing has a strong commitment to the community, demonstrated by significant involvement in numerous local organizations by supporting them financially and with a considerable donation of the time of the company’s owners and employees.
